Cayman business leaders have come together to form the Cayman islands Investment Council (CIIC).It's Founder Members include CIREBA, DART and ORION, developer of the Ritz Carlton and Dragon Bay. Other board members include Cayman FInance (formerly the CIFSA) and a wide cross section of leaders from the finance, tourism and retail industries.Its goals are as follows:Mission: to increase investment in the Cayman Islands and to drive growth for local businesses.Objectives:1.To attract international investors of independent means to invest in the Cayman Islands.2.To attract corporate relocations to the Cayman Islands.3.To increase stay over tourism.Strategies:1.To create an international marketing and public relations campaign.2.To work with government to facilitate the investment process.3.To raise awareness in the local community regarding the benefits of increased international investment in the country’s economy. CIREBA is represented on the CIIC by its President Jeremy Hurst, Broker/Owner of IRG and Director Tony Catalanotto, who is Vice Chairman.
