GRAND CAYMAN'S IRONWOOD DEVELOPMENT GETS MAJOR BOOST AS IT SELLS OUT ALL FOUNDERS GOLF MEMBERSHIPS

The proposed Ironwood Development that is planned for the eastern districts of Grand Cayman got a major boost this week when Mr. Arnold Palmer, his wife and members of the Arnold Palmer Design Company and Hospitality group visited the Cayman Islands for three days to release the Ironwood Founders Golf Membership program. The response was exceptional as all of the 22 available memberships were sold out within a week of their release at a cost of $10 000 USD each! The Cayman Golf Club Founders Membership will be managed and operated by a soon to be announced Palmer hospitality brand and will have reciprocal benefits (TBA) with Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge as well as international sister clubs that will be coming online in the near future.

The Ironwood Sales Reception targeted at local realtors and guests was held at Luca Restaurant. Director of Sales & Marketing for Iron wood, Samantha Widmer, spoke about the real estate sales opportunities available to agents and discussed the newly released renderings of the Ironwood golf course and Beach Club. Ironwood developer, David Moffitt, detailed the construction timeline and provided additional insight into the development plan and amenities that will be offered. The Ironwood Town Centre, Arnold Palmer golf course and 10-mile road extension are expected to be built simultaneously and completed by early 2017.

The Premier, Hon. Alden McLaughlin, assured that the project is going to open up a large area of Cayman which is currently inaccessible, and that this will encourage a varying range of development along the 10 mile stretch of the proposed arterial extension.
