Jeremy Hurst elected CIREBA President

Cayman Property group IRG's Broker/Owner, Jeremy Hurst, has been elected President of the Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) for 2009/10.

Mr. Hurst commented on his appointment saying: "I am honoured to have been elected President of CIREBA and am looking forward to working with the CIREBA board, which represents a tremendous resource in terms of real estate expertise and experience. CIREBA intends to take a proactive and positive role in these challenging economic times working alongside its members, other professional associations and Government, to do its part in ensuring Cayman returns to a path of long-term stability, prosperity and growth. Some of the issues we will be focusing on include promotion of Cayman internationally and generating new international investment into the economy, the threat of Crime to Cayman’s society and taking a strong position against any proposed new property and income taxes, should the issue rear its head again. We will also ensure CIREBA’s members have access to the very best tools and resources possible, to enable them to service our vendors and purchasers to the highest professional and ethical standards.I have no doubt this coming year will be a busy one, and am greatly looking forward to its challenges and opportunities."
