What's Happening at IRG

We’re now well into the second quarter of 2022 and can’t believe how fast this year is going! With that being said, IRG has been working hard on some highly anticipated developments behind the scenes both organisationally and in terms of new projects and developments. We are excited to see these coming to fruition and how they will benefit our beautiful islands.

While COVID-19 remains a challenge for some international markets especially, the Cayman Islands has fully opened its borders to flights and cruise lines and has proceeded with further relaxation of restrictions. This has significantly helped in removing barriers to entry for tourists and visitors, and has been a further boost to an already strong real estate market. IRG witnessed record breaking property numbers in 2021 and we anticipate another record year in 2022. The Cayman Islands real estate industry has followed a year-on-year increase and IRG expects the market to continue on this trajectory as the Cayman Island strengthens its reputation as a safe, stable, highly desirable jurisdiction of choice to both investors and residents.

We are beyond excited about the prospects for the remainder of the year and wanted to share with you the 2022 journey thus far. Our story is decorated with many exciting highlights such as the opening of our new luxury property sales gallery on Seven Mile Beach along with the Mandarin Oriental, the launching of our latest property development ONE | GT, the hire of new key employees to strengthen our team, and attendance at the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Annual Conference and Luxury Portfolio International Summit where IRG won multiple awards.

Mandarin Oriental Grand Cayman

Let’s begin with the highly anticipated development of the Mandarin Oriental Grand Cayman. A name known around the world for breathtaking luxury hotels, resorts, and residences.

Conferences and Awards

IRG recently attended the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Annual Conference and Luxury Portfolio International Summit in Las Vegas. President & Broker/Owner Jeremy Hurst, who chairs the group’s Global Advisory Board, had the opportunity to sit on the conference’s closing panel to discuss the advantages and uniqueness of the Cayman Islands as a sophisticated and stable market offering unrivalled lifestyle opportunities. Jeremy elaborated on the successes of the unparalleled Cayman market during and post Covid as reflected by the market’s astonishing 60% year-on-year growth in 2021; an impressive feat considering the global turmoil at the onset of COVID-19.

Additionally, IRG is proud to announce that we were the recipient of the Best Website at the Leading RE Awards Gala. Our website was recognised for its professional, clean layout, intuitive navigation and consumer centricity. It is a great honour to be recognised for this on the global stage as we strive to set new standards in Cayman’s real estate market.
